Today we went to Delco Park, the walk there was boring but it was worth. We met and author there named Rob E Boley. He is an author for horror novels, but he used to write poems too. We read poems about nature, which is a common theme for poets. We walked around and made metaphors about things we saw around us like trees, water, plants, flowers, and bugs. It was really fun writing metaphors, though I'm not that good of a writer. I wrote about the ducks, the geese, the trees, and the pond and insects. For example one of my metaphors was "With trumpets for mouths the geese honk at each other". I enjoyed the activity a lot. After we came back Rob E Boley handed out a copy of one of his books to who wrote the most metaphors, and we did a random draw to see who could get another book.
For the small world thing I Laid down on my stomach and observed the ground, for awhile I saw a spider makes its way up and down grass and leaves. I noticed there was way more twigs, rocks, pebbles, and insects down there than I imagined. It was super fun watching the small world below. I never imagined this whole world would be below me and it was very interesting.
